Experiencing Leaks?
Where is the leak and how bad is it?
THE METER TEST!
1. Test takes around 30 minutes.
Do not use water during this time.
2. Write down the current reading on your home meter.
3.Come back in 30 minutes to check the meter. If the numbers read the same as you wrote down then congrats, you do NOT have a leak!
-If the number on the meter has changed, it could be a toilet leak, so go inside the house and shut off all the toilet valves (under the toilets) and REPEAT the test.
-If the number did NOT change after turning off the toilet valves, it means the leak is coming from the toilet!
-If the numbers changed even after turning off all the toilet valves, then it is time to call the Leak Detection Experts at Matrix Plumbing.
How bad is the leak?
The difference of what you wrote down verses the meter reading after the test tell you a ballpark of how many gallons are being wasted. YIKES!
